Kappa Theta Pi
Kappa Theta Pi (KTP) is a co-ed professional tech fraternity centered around career growth, technical development, and community. New members go through an onboarding process with required tasks and milestones to stay on track.
I worked on the KTP Life app to design a task tracker that helps new members manage these requirements, built for students juggling classes, recruiting, and extracurriculars.
The Problem
New members don’t have a clear way to track their tasks, deadlines, or points. At the same time, program managers are stuck managing everything in spreadsheets, making the process slow and difficult to maintain.

The Process
I started by reviewing the current workflow and identifying gaps in how tasks were tracked. From there, I mapped a more streamlined experience, defined key features, and designed interfaces focused on clarity, visibility, and ease of use.
Research Conducted
Conducted interviews with 8 members to understand how they track tasks and their reliance on scattered tools.
Gap Identified
Users couldn’t easily distinguish between different types of tasks, making it harder to prioritize what needed to be done first.
Key Feature
Task filtering allows users to quickly switch between Required, Optional, and Completed tasks
The Solution
I designed a simple, centralized task tracker that gives new members a clear view of what they need to do, when it’s due, and how they’re progressing. It also gives program managers an easier way to assign and track tasks without relying on spreadsheets.

The Outcome
The new tracker makes it easier for new members to stay on top of their responsibilities and understand their progress. At the same time, it reduces manual work for program managers and keeps everything in one place.
